You'll be amazed at this wonderful spectacle - birds from all round
the world fly over the ruins of the Bishops' Castle. Discover kookaburras
from Australia, a snowy owls, great horned owls, white storks, condors,
American parrots, eagles and vultures. Some of the birds will surprise
you with their steep dives or giant leaps and feel them skim over your
head. This year, you will discover new species of parrots and predatories.
Come and admire "the dance of sea birds" with pelicans, herons, ibis,
cormorants, aigrettes.... Also to see: the bike rail (Velorail) and

The Dienne Farm - Tyrolean Traverse
Come and discover
the Farm at Dienne. At the heart of a vast, exceptional site there is
a special Adventure Park, unique in the region.
There are four circuits of different difficulty levels, a 12 metre high
tower at the departure point and a more than one kilometre long Tyrolean
climbing rope. So if you like the excitement, do not hesitate any longer,
come to the Dienne farm! On site you also find : a horse-riding stables,
a self-service restaurant and angling. You will have the opportunity
to go on walking trails, by horse, in carts, camping wagons and by bicycle.

Dog Sledding
at Brion
The centre at Brion
takes you on a journey of discovery through the Northern European countries
as you learn about the people and animals of the North. During your
visit you will learn all about the history of these people, their dogs
and their different encampments. See how Greenland's Eskimos and Malamutes
live. Visit the kennels and learn about Siberian huskies. You will also
learn how to harness the dogs (carts or sled) with demonstrations and

National Donkey
Farm
This donkey sanctuary
is home to the hardy and engaging Poitou donkey. This thick-bodied donkey
is famous for its height, its long silky hair and also for its jovial
nature. These characteristics makes it a much appreciated playmate for

Nautilis - sports
and leisure centre
Nautilis is a mixed
sports and leisure centre offering water sports and an ice-skating rink.
The ice-skating rink has been designed with fun for the general public
in mind and in the months of October to May there are activities in
the afternoons and evening events around a particular theme. There are
two pools available to all (general public, clubs, schools, groups)
of 25 and 50m; indoor leisure pools (toboggan, jets, spas) and rooms
for natural water and cardiac therapy open year-round. Outdoors the
visitor can benefit from the River Charente, wave pool, pentagliss as
well as an inflatable structure of 17m during the summer holiday season.
The rich variety of activities and facilities on offer as well as its
proximity to the Grande Prairie Lake make the Nautilis centre a perfect
sports and leisure complex for all the family. (As
in all indoor pools in France, swimming shorts are not permitted, only
"speedo" type swimming trunks).
